THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO THE NORTHERN SCENIC GREENWAY PUBLIC MEETING ON NOVEMBER 17, 2026.
The Northern Scenic Greenway is a proposed segment of the regional South Coast Bikeway intended to create safer conditions on local roads between Westport, Dartmouth, and New Bedford.
South Coast residents, businesses, property owners, and other interested stakeholders are invited to attend a public meeting about the Northern Scenic Greenway initial consideration on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Dartmouth High School Auditorium, 555 Bakerville Road, Dartmouth, Massachusetts. The meeting is sponsored by South Coast Bikeway Alliance (SCBA), in partnership with the Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District (SRPEDD) and Pare Corporation.
The project team has completed an assessment of existing corridor conditions, opportunities, and constraints and is beginning to develop and evaluate a range of context-sensitive alternatives that seek to balance pedestrian, bicycle and vehicle needs with community character, environmental resources, and corridor limitations.
At the meeting, attendees will have an opportunity to learn about the project, review work completed to date, and provide feedback on priorities, opportunities, and concerns. No preferred alternative has been selected, and public input gathered through this process will help inform the development and evaluation of future alternatives and recommendations.
Your input matters. Join the conversation, share your ideas, and help shape the future of walking and biking connections along the corridor.
