On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, the South Coast Bikeway Alliance’s 11th Annual Summit returns. Join us from 6 – 8 pm as we gather at the UMASS Dartmouth – School for Marine Science & Technology 836 South Rodney French Blvd., in New Bedford to share news and progress along the South Coast Bikeway and featuring keynote speaker Trish Karter. Ride your bicycle to the event or park free in the lot or on the surrounding streets. Check our Facebook page and website for group rides to the Summit. Please let us know you plan to attend by submitting a RSVP.
Arrive at 5:30 pm to visit with South Coast Bikeway Alliance Representatives in our member communities from Swansea to Wareham. Find out what is happening in your community and learn how you can help complete the bikeway. Our speakers session will begin at 6:00 and will include:
- Sandra Medeiros, South Coast Bikeway Alliance President – South Coast Bikeway overview and a Call to Action
- Trish Karter – Entrepreneur, Ride Across America team member, Mt. Washington Hill Climb uphill racer and record holder, creator of AGING STRONG – an initiative to change cycling platforms to encourage older riders and women to stay in the game – or to jump in (!) and make it more fun.
Want to ride to the event? Group rides will be leaving from South Dartmouth and Fairhaven. Stay tuned for more information.
